Questions
What families ask us
What ages and weeks do you serve?
Camp is for ages 6 to 13, in six weeks from late June to mid August, with one theme a week. Younger and older runners are in their own groups, and they come together for relays and field day.
Does my child need running experience?
No. Most weeks have beginners, and the first day is built for them. Every block starts with a warm-up, and every camper runs at their own pace.
What is a day like?
Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A day has a warm-up circle, a block of sprints or hurdles, relay practice, lunch from home, distance loops and a block of field games, with a water break between each.
What should my camper bring?
Closed-toe running shoes, a filled water bottle, a lunch and a snack, a hat, and sunscreen already on.
What happens when it rains or the day is hot?
Light rain does not stop camp. In thunder or on a slick track, the day moves into the gym. On a hot day the long runs move to the cool morning, and we text families before drop-off whenever a day changes.
How does pickup work, and who may collect my camper?
An adult on your list signs your camper out at the track gate, and we ask for ID until we know you. If someone not on your list needs to collect your camper, call us first.
How does tuition work?
Tuition depends on the weeks you book and your camper's age group. We are glad to go through it by phone.
How do I hold a place, and what is the waitlist?
You hold a place when you register for a week. When a week is full, you can join its waitlist, and we call families in the order they joined as places open.
What about allergies and medicine?
Tell us at registration. We ask what we need privately, and we go through your camper's routine with you before the first day.
Are phones allowed?
Phones stay at home or in the bag. If your camper needs to reach you, a coach will call you.
Not finding your question?
Call the camp or send a message, and we reply within one working day.
